Evernote Pen Support Windows 10

Evernote today unveiled the latest version of its organization and personal management software–Evernote for Windows 4.0. The latest release comes with a variety of improvements and new features that will help you manage your to-do lists and organize your time more efficiently.

Evernote is both powerful and flexible. With an elephant for a logo and the tagline "remember everything", the software is designed to capture thoughts, ideas, and inspirations in one place. You can take notes, keep lists, record video notes, and more, and Evernote syncs your data through the cloud so you can access it from anywhere–including on the Evernote iPhone, iPad, Android, and other smartphone platforms.

Evernote is a powerful and flexible tool for staying organized across virtually any platform.

The latest release of Evernote for Windows is designed to be faster at everything it does. Evernote revved it up so it starts faster, switches to the foreground faster, searches faster, switches between notes faster, uses less memory, and is generally more responsive.

Evernote also improved the user interface for Evernote for Windows 4.0. Evernote claims that this version makes better use of the screen real estate, and provides a more configurable user interface. Other improvements include new search descriptions, an improved dialog look and feel, and better support for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean search functions.

A couple of the new features are unique to Windows 7. Evernote for Windows 4.0 supports Windows 7 Jump Lists–enabling more efficient interaction by letting you jump directly to notes that you have worked with recently, or frequently used notes that you have pinned to the Jump List. In Windows 7, Evernote also has geo-location capabilities to automatically detect and log location data with notes.

One of the favorite programs in the Microsoft Office 2010 suite for many users is OneNote. OneNote is similar in scope and functionality to Evernote, and like Evernote it will also let you sync notes to the cloud so you can access your information from the Web.

However, like many things Microsoft, OneNote is a Microsoft-centric tool. There is no OneNote for the iPad, or iPhone, or Android apps. OneNote is regularly cited as one of the most desired apps on these alternate platforms, but it doesn't appear that Microsoft will be rushing to develop such a thing any time soon.

Evernote, on the other hand, provides virtually ubiquitous cross-platform access to notes and information. And, while OneNote is a commercial application that is part of the Microsoft Office suite, Evernote software is free.

If you are looking for a tool that lets you organize your thoughts and manage your life–and has the versatility to work from and sync between your Windows PC, your Android smartphone, and your iPad tablet, you should check out Evernote and see if it's the software you've been looking for.
